To Live an #Unleashed Life

As the season change, and we enter a new year, it is common to reflect on the past and plan for the future. The significance of this year, as with all of them, is that we are still here. With each new year you have opportunity to start anew.

This year, like many of you, I reflect on "my why." My passions, although they seem manifold, are truly singular in nature. Wellness. Psychological, spiritual, physical, financial – wellness. Not just for myself; but, for all. The fulcrum of my work is that all people should have access to wellness. My quest for personal “fitness” is not just about getting my body “right” it is about congruence between the mind, soul, body, spirit. To live an #Unleashed life.

On my journey to being #Unleashed I’ve been asked, “if you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?” My answer, absolutely nothing. I live with no regrets for things done in the past shape who I am now. My lessons, my words of advice are for the future me. She needs the reminders more than the self to which I cannot return. These little reminders, the pieces of advice, I share with myself and you.

  1. Compare yourself to no one. The you you were yesterday is your only litmus test.

  2. Love deeply, completely and without qualification, basically, “love hard.”

  3. MOVE your body daily.

  4. There are no failures, only lessons

  5. You are your brothers and sisters keeper, but you are not their choices.

  6. Live life on purpose NOT function

  7. Be gentle with yourself, perfection is reserved for God.

  8. Look in the mirror daily and emphatically say “I LOVE YOU!” You’re worth it!

  9. In all things be unapologetically #Unleashed

Throughout the upcoming months I will explore each of these reminders. Being #Unleashed is not a destination, it is a journey of constant reflection, evaluation and acceptance.

My prayer for you for this new year,

“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon you face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
